Dear fellow Civil War enthusiast. I am sending you this letter to inform you of the upcoming Civil War Exposition. This Civil War Expo is being hosted by Cushing’s Historical Association and Alonzo H. Cushing, Camp #5, Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War. It will be held this year at the Germantown Library, located at N112W16879 Mequon Road, Germantown, Wisconsin and is being held on Saturday, March 1st, 2008. The Expo is to inform the public about all aspects of the Civil War, from reenacting and study to ancestor and historical research. It is hoped that a wide variety of displays will be present including collectors, reenactors, both military and civilian, and historians. We are also thinking about having one or more speakers or presentations. We are looking at doing advertising in the area of the Expo including area newspapers and possibly in periodicals related to the Civil War, such as Camp Chase Gazette or Civil War Times. We will also be putting up flyers relating to the Expo. As the event coordinator, I would like to extend this invitation to you or your group to think about attending as a displayer. If you are or might be interested, please contact me at the below address or e-mail. Even if you can not attend as a displayer, please feel free to come as a visitor.

p.s. If you are NOT the person to talk to about event planning, please forward this letter to that person and feel free to pass it on to other groups or people that might be interested in attending or displaying.
